My name is Rebecca West. I am young woman, who has been living with Chronic Pain due to Endometriosis and Lupus for the last two decades. I live in Massachusetts with my incredibly supportive husband, and our little but feisty dog Ares. I love expressing myself through the arts in many mediums and avenues, from painting, to weaving, to writing. I created this blog as a way to start sharing my story. It is only one in a cacophony of stories filled, not only with disease and physical injury, but with deep emotional trauma, and socioeconomic struggle. I hope me sharing my story can help people understand even just a little bit what it is like living with pain that never stops and can leave you bed ridden for days. We need to start talking about the lack of pain care, not only for Chronic Pain, but for many other diseases and kinds of pain, as the emergency it is. We deserve better, and we need better now.
